New Macro Recorder 5 Automates Windows and macOS Apps with AI-Powered UI Detection

Trier, Germany – September 25, 2026 – Bartels Media GmbH announced the release of Macro Recorder 5, a major update to its desktop automation software for Windows and macOS:

The new version introduces AI-powered UI element detection, allowing users to automate applications and workflows using natural language descriptions instead of fixed screen coordinates.

Automation for Windows and macOS

Macro Recorder records keyboard and mouse actions and plays them back automatically. The software is used to automate repetitive tasks, testing procedures, data entry, and desktop workflows without requiring programming knowledge:

A key new feature in version 5 is AI-assisted desktop control. Users can now target interface elements with commands such as “Click the green download button,” enabling automation even in applications with changing layouts or dynamic user interfaces:

Enhanced SmartClick Technology

The software also includes an enhanced version of its SmartClick technology. Instead of relying solely on absolute mouse positions, Macro Recorder visually identifies buttons and interface elements on screen.

The updated recognition engine is now more tolerant of anti-aliasing, DPI scaling, interface scaling, distortions, and rotated elements, improving reliability across different displays and applications.

Extended Freeware Version
